Friday June 27, France Inter and France Culture radio stations will be in Sarajevo for a special one-day broadcast live from the old city in the Bosniak Institute – Zulfikarpasic Foundation.

Listeners can hear their favorite presenters (Patrick Cohen, Pascale Clark, Jean-Marie Colombani and Eric Valmir on France Inter and Emmanuel Laurentin, Florian Delorme and Caroline Broué on France Culture) live from Sarajevo, the Heart of Europe. European, French and Bosnian guest speakers, politicians, historians, as well as prominent figures from the arts and culture, will meet to review a hundred years of history in Sarajevo.

On France Inter, under the direction of Jean Lebrun and Guillaume Erner, special programs will address three major themes: the Great War, the siege of Sarajevo and the city today and how it sees its past and its future.

France Inter will end its programs with a live broadcast of a concert of Sevdah music, from 9.00pm to 11.00pm, which will also be broadcast on ARTE and ARTE Concert, presented by Marie Labory. In one of Sarajevo’s best known concert halls, the Bosanski Kulturni Centar, an ensemble of eminent musicians such as the franco-serbian pianist Bojan Z, grouped around the famous Bosnian singer Amira Medujanin, will play traditional music. This concert will be preceded by another one at 7pm by the band Halka.
